WHEW! Does anyone else feel like time flies by faster and faster every year?! As 2024 comes to a close, I find myself reflecting on the incredible journey I’ve had as a newborn photographer (while being a new mama myself) over the past year. I’ve had the honor of capturing some of the first moments of so many beautiful little lives, and with each session, I’ve learned something new, both professionally and personally.
Each newborn session is different – filled with their own set of emotions, milestones and tiny details. From the soft curl of a baby’s fingers or the way parents look at their newborn with overwhelming love and wonder, these moments remind me why I fell in love with photography in the first place. It’s not just about capturing beautiful images – it’s about preserving memories that families will cherish forever.
I love seeing the unique personalities of newborns emerge, even at such a young age. Some babies are calm and peaceful while others are full of energy and expressiveness. Each session is a reminder of how different each little one is and how important it is to capture these traits early on.
I also have the privilege of working with many families who have a specific vision or theme in mind for their sessions, from cozy, neutral-toned settings to more playful, whimsical setups. Creating personalized sessions that reflect the individuality of the baby and their family has been so rewarding.
As I look ahead to 2025, I can’t wait to meet new families, capture more precious memories and continue growing as a photographer. Each year brings new experiences, new challenges and new babies to photograph, and I am beyond grateful for the opportunity to be a part of these precious moments.
Thank you to all the families who trusted me with your most cherished memories this year. Your support means the world to me. Here’s to more smiles, more giggles, and more tiny toes in the year ahead!
My 2025 books are open, please feel free to reach out! I’d love to work with you and capture the magic of your little one’s first moments.
