Winnie the Pooh is a popular theme for some of our sessions, but do you know the origins? The author’s son was named Christopher Robin and the stories are based on toys that he owned – including, of course, Winnie the teddy bear. Winnie was actually named after a female black bear that they saw together at the London Zoo who similarly loved sweetened condensed milk and had a sweet tooth. While the real Winnie passed away in 1934, her skull is on display at the Hunterian Museum and Christopher Robin’s original toys can be found in the New York Library. There are so many great quotes from these stories – comment your favorite!
