I may have said this before, but I just love Gender Reveals! It is so exciting when a family wants me to be a part of their special day and capture such a beautiful moment. I love being in the middle of all the excitement and joy that surrounds these reveals, and the Olvera family did not disappoint! When Martha told me she was going to hand-make her piñata for the reveal, I knew this was a special family. With two beautiful little girls already, it was easy to see Martha and Andres couldn’t wait to find out what their newest addition was going to be!

Since they wanted it to be a surprise for everyone, I was the lucky one that got to open the special envelope, fill the piñata, and know the secret before everyone else! I’m pretty good at keeping a straight face though 🙂  They got it up on the rope and all the little ones took their turns getting a good swing. Martha’s little nephew was so strong, I thought he was going to reveal it to everyone! But he didn’t, and then Mom came in for her turn, before Dad was up. Now it may not have been the “perfect” piñata reveal, because when it came Dad’s turn to have his chance at the piñata… he took one good, powerful swing and the whole piñata went flying off the rope, completely intact. He ran over, picked up the piñata, and start throwing out the confetti with his hands to complete the reveal… and the pink confetti flew everywhere!! The laughter and cheers filled the air as everyone congratulated the family on their newest little girl coming in April! I am so thankful Martha booked me for a Belly to Baby Package, so I get to see this family through the end of being 4… and the beginning of being a family of 5. Can’t wait till our maternity session together in just a few months!
