Hello and welcome to my blog!

For those of you who might be new here, my name is Kira and I own Kira Jeffrey Photography where I specialize in everything from bump to baby!

I spent my childhood outside of Boston, MA in a small town called Bedford before we moved to North Carolina when I was eight years old. My mother’s family was there and I was able to grow up surrounded by grandparents, aunts and uncles and cousins – that experience is what instilled family values in me.

I was homeschooled for most of my education with the exception of a brief period of public schooling when my parents had divorced, but I struggled to fit in and made the choice to return to homeschooling and taking classes at my local community college. During this time, I got my first job at a Subway and was promoted to assistant manager by 17!

In college, while searching for a job at several restaurants, I walked into one where I was immediately hired and trained to be a server before my classes that day! Little did I know that my future husband was already working there!

I always knew that I wanted to homeschool my kids and this summer, we made the decision to do it! I am so grateful for my husband’s commitment and effort that makes it possible to homeschool CJ while I continue the hard work it takes running my own business. I appreciate all of you who help make this business as incredible as it is and I can’t wait to see where the journey takes my family and yours!
