Luke Beaver Newborn | Charlotte Newborn Photographer | Kira Jeffrey Photography
Carrie and Robert we’re such fun, easy going first time parents right from the start. It was a joy to be welcomed into their home for Luke’s first photo shoot! When I first arrived, Robert showed me a few images in their wedding album to give me a little insight into their personalities. After seeing the photo where Carrie, in her wedding dress, was pretending to “knock out” Robert with a nice right hook, I knew this was going to be a fun Session!
Along with awesome parents, Luke had some pretty awesome Fur-Siblings as well! Which if you know me, I love incorporating client’s fur-babies into their Newborn sessions. It warms my heart when a family cares so much about their pets they ask if I can capture photos with them included. My answer is always “Of course!” Now not all fur-siblings are willing to sit still long enough for photos with their new baby, but it’s always worth trying. Almost every time we walk with something memorable, and these pups did not disappoint!
When I was first setting up and Robert and Carrie pulled out a few special items that were meaningful to them, I knew we had to incorporate them into our session. Check out the captions below for more the story behind some of the photos we captured that day!
Robert and Carrie own and operate their own Kung Fu/Thai Chi studio. This quilt was made from a bunch of T-shirts from their previous studio as a gift when they moved. I loved being able to capture this image of Luke smiling on it.
Little Panda Bear stuffed animal Robert wanted to capture with Luke since his nickname for his wife was “Panda Bear”
The blanket and Tiger stuffed animal was from Robert’s childhood. It’s awesome to capture these type of heirloom images with items that get passed down the generations and mean so much to each family.
I love the Lilo & Stitch Nursery Theme. Carrie told me her family is Chinese but from Hawaii, so I’m not sure they could’ve picked a more beautifully fitting nursery theme!
Is this not the coolest, unique dresser! When I saw it I knew I had to capture a photo of this sweet boy on it!
This is the turtle they were planning to use for all his Monthly photos they take as he grows – I’m glad to have captured the first one!
