If you’ve been to the studio before, you’ll know that we have a HUGE selection of newborn headbands, flower crowns, bows and hats to choose from. This baby girl helped model sixteen (!!!) of them for us and hopefully it can give you an idea of what you’re looking for in your own upcoming session.

When comparing types of headbands, we consider material with cotton being the most common choice at the studio to promote baby’s comfort and potential sensitivities. The different types of embellishments such as flowers, bows or beads can vary based on how tiny the baby is which is why it’s important for us to maintain so many options for clients to choose from. Some headbands have elastic inside, but will not be able to accommodate a teeny tiny newborn and also a one year old coming for a smash so we carry some headbands that use a twine or ribbon band to allow for adjustability (twine also can go perfectly with a session that ties in neutrals!). You may think that the flower crowns are best for spring/summertime, but one look at our wall of flower crowns will prove otherwise! We have plenty of cool tones and minimal looks that would suit a wintery session this time of year just perfectly.
