Fall is always a busy time of year here at Kira Jeffrey Photography, because so many people want to get updated family photos to send out before the Holidays and New Year. Kelly and Andrew had just welcomed their sweet little boy Thomas just 2 months prior to us meeting and had reached out to me asking to capture their first family photos together! I love capturing first time parents, because there is so much love and joy, with a side of innocence and awe that will never again take place. Not to say I don’t love capturing a growing family and sibling connections, because there is nothing like that either!

But getting to focus solely on Kelly, Andrew, and baby Thomas meant we got to spend extra time capturing amazing photos of their little family. We decided that we would do some outdoors by their neighborhood pond as well as capturing some lifestyle “newborn” style images since they never did get any Newborn photo taken when Thomas first arrived. It was so much fun getting to both styles in one session. Embarrassingly enough, I arrived early to scout the pond before meeting at their house and locked myself out of my car!! Thank goodness I was early and my amazing husband could come to the rescue with my spare keys within 15 minutes of me realizing what I did. In the end, I was only a few minutes late and they were very understand (as they were running behind trying to get the little man ready for his big modeling debut). Even with that slight hiccup, it didn’t throw me off at all and we had a wonderful session together. So happy with the outcome of these beautiful family photos.
