Family photo shoots are such fun because every family is so uniquely different, it’s impossible to capture the same image twice. Every person involved bring their own energy and light to a shoot, which makes it easy to photography each family in their own special way. So when Sara asked if her nephews could join in on their shoot, I said “Of course!”, the more the merrier. We had a blast getting to explore this gorgeous garden, with Little Miss Claire always wanting to “Be the leader!”.

If you are a parent yourself, you know how hard it is to try to keep these active little minds attention, especially during an exciting event like a photo shoot. Whatever I can do to try and help relieve that stress from a parent during our shoots I do! I find that walking (or running) around and exploring a location is a great way to let kids run off all the excess energy in between the shots. That way when it’s time for actually picture-taking time, most of the time they can focus just enough to capture that perfect shot. And we did just that!
